I was desperate for an urgent repair on my car, Ales assessed it straight after my call, he was very understanding and fixed it at a very reasonable price, he later has serviced and MOT'd the car. I can definitely recommend thecarmechanic.co.uk. I drove down from Watford to see Ales and it was definitely worth it. Vx Dealer quoted me "in excess" of £1200 for a swirl flap/intake manifold replacement and 4 new glow plugs. Ales bought genuine Vx parts so I have a years warranty/guarantee and did the repair for near enough half the price. My 1.9 CDTI SRI Astra is now back to full power! I've never trusted mechanics before but Ales is very friendly and explained everything when I asked him a question. I would definitely go back to him if I needed another big job doing rather than a Vx dealer. Thanks Ales!
