We are an independent garage with fully trained Vauxhall Technicians. We have recently received our very own dealer code from General Motors Academy as an independent motor trader (IMT - 11382). This enables us to maintain our knowledge is kept up to Dealership standard. This is essential so we can continue to fix Vauxhall Vehicles right first time without replacing any unnecessary, expensive parts.
We have vast experience in vehicles coming to us for faults that many other garages have been unable to repair. We believe this is not always due to lack of skills or ability of the mechanic but is very often simply due to lack of experience with that particular model or knowledge of factory service bulletins and field remedies. An example to demonstrate this is;
Many Vauxhall engines suffer with faults with the EGR Valve, this does not always necessary mean the vehicle needs a new EGR valve as many garages believe. For some models Vauxhall have introduced new software for the engine ECU which will delete the EGR valve, there for removing the need to replace an expensive part, but this can only be done at Main dealers or specialist garages like us.
Most recently we came across an issue with 1.9 Zafira owners having problems with lack of power and in some cases unable to start. This problem is usually due to the Diesel Particulate filter being blocked. In most cases this could have been prevented by drivers being given the correct knowledge of the driving processes required for this vehicle, appropriate servicing and keeping electronic modules software's up to date.
Only garages with access to the latest Vauxhall Service Bulletins and field remedies would be the first to know how to rectify these issues and more.
